How did you come to be in your current role?

I was on the management team of Focus Softnet for over 14 years and have been instrumental in the growth of Focus’ business across the Middle East.

In 2015, as part of it restructuring plans, Focus decided to launch Centra Hub, which was specially created to focus on our CRM and HCM solutions line of business and I was appointed the CEO of this new company. With Centra Hub, our aim was to provide solutions for business automation specifically enriching the customer, organisation and employee lifecycles.

What is your management philosophy?

My management philosophy is to be inclusive and provide my team an environment to be creative, work smart and put the client first.

I believe in setting an example and being a role model to my staff by providing them the guidance, direction and leadership they need to effectively meet the objectives and requirements of our customers.

Additionally, I always listen to their feedback as they are our ears to the ground and this helps us customise our solutions according to the market needs, which in turn gives Centra Hub a competitive edge.

What was your first computer, and when did you first use it?

I got my first computer in 1995, which was a HCL’s ATX86.

What is your greatest achievement?

My greatest achievement to date is definitely taking Focus Softnet from being a SMB player to making it a vendor to reckon with in the enterprise and mid-market segments.

What was the biggest challenge you have faced and how did you overcome it?

Challenges are a part of life and a part of every business. I take everything in my stride and treat every challenge, whether big or small, as equally important.

What is your fondest memory of working in the Middle East industry?

The Middle East has been an instrumental part of our company’s growth story. The UAE and Dubai, in particular, has been my home for the last 15 years. This country and this industry has given me the opportunity to grow in my career and excel. Dubai makes life exciting with its transformational strategies and plans to make our lives better and ensure the happiness of its citizens.

What technology do you think will have the biggest impact on the market in 2017?

We are at the center of a technology revolution where every business is going digital. We see a huge potential in AI, robotics, analytics, Cloud, mobility and cybersecurity in the digitisation plans of regional organisations. The new technologies allow connecting operational platforms with business solutions, social media and automating process. The need now is to connect across all media with an integrated solution that will empower people to achieve more with little effort.

What’s the best way to deal with stress?

The best way is to meditate.
