For the first time Blackwire is at GITEX Technology Week 2017 exhibiting its latest in-vehicle connectivity solutions.

Blackwire is showcasing its IP-CCTV integrated solutions and LTE routers, which provide internet access for public transportation across the UAE.

Ted Polly, vice president of Business Development, Blackwire, says: "Given the fast pace in which smart cities operate, in-vehicle WiFi should be considered a necessity especially for passengers that are consistently on the move and need to be connected to the internet for professional and personal reasons.

"WiFi connection will no longer be limited to the passengers' Internet access capabilities but will go beyond its traditional purpose while paving the way for connected vehicles and driverless cars to occupy our roads in the nearest future."

Already Blackwire has embedded internet connectivity solutions in 6,000 TransAD Abu Dhabi taxis, 1550 RTA Dubai Hala taxis and 150 Jumeriah Group hotel limousines.
