Microsoft's Surface Pro has entered the UAE, targeting both consumers and professionals.

The redesigned Surface Pro is wrapped in Alcantara material, which is available in rich tone-on-tone colours, including Platinum, Burgundy and Cobalt Blue. It also has a fan-less design, meaning not only is it quiet, but it is also has a hyper-slim profile.

Under the hood, the Surface Pro has been re-engineered to run 7th-generation Intel Core m3, Core i5 and Core i7 processors for enhanced performance. Plus, users can select a range of configurations from the Intel Core m3 with 4GB RAM and 128GB of SSD storage, to the Intel Core i7 with 16 GB RAM and 1TB of SSD storage.

The Surface Pro battery offers 13.5 hours of working time, 50% more battery life than the Surface Pro 4. Along with the 12.3-inch PixelSense display, the device has 4,096 points of pressure sensitivity with tilt, imperceptible latency giving a more responsive, fluid and accurate experience.

The device has been optimised with Windows 10, and Windows Hello, Microsoft Office 365 and the Windows 10 Creators Update.

Mohammed Arif, Windows & Devices Business Group Lead, Microsoft Gulf, said: "Powered by Windows 10, the Surface Pro has been re-engineered from the bottom up, to deliver on Microsoft's ongoing pledge - to help every individual and organisation on the planet to achieve more.

"Whether at work or at home, innovating or relaxing, the Surface Pro is there for whatever you need. It has the power to run the most resource-heavy professional applications, but also has the power to entertain. We have been encouraged and excited over the years by our customers' warm response to the Surface family. From its potent Core processors to its broad, bright, densely pixelated display, the new Surface Pro exudes a best-in-class aura that we are confident will continue that success story."

From 20 September, prices will start from AED 4,499 from major retailers across the UAE.
