SOUQ.com, a subsidiary of Amazon.com, has acquired Wing.ae as the companies enter a definitive agreement to offer faster shipping options for customers.

SOUQ.com had previously invested in Wing.ae, a marketplace for merchants and couriers in the UAE, but it now has the full backing from the e-commerce giant.

The acquisition aims to offer mobile and web-based delivery solutions for businesses and individuals, however Wing.ae will continue to invest in growing its same and next day delivery service in the region.
