The region's ride-hailing app service, Careem, has expanded its booking services to Ajman.

Careem will supply Lexus vehicles, appearing as a GoPlus car type, with prices starting from AED 7 for instant bookings and a minimum fare of AED 19. If the demand proves to be high, the service plans to extend to other car types, such as Max and Kids.

Additionally Careem has introduced a set pricing model where customers can pay a fixed price from certain trips, for instance Ajman City Centre to Dubai International Airport, Sharjah International Airport, Dubai Mall and Mall of the Emirates.

Bassel Al Nahlaoui, VP of Government and Business Relations for Careem, commented: "As a home-grown brand that started life in the Emirates, it only makes sense for us to be serving the community of Ajman. We are really looking forward to understanding the city and what people need from us here - rolling out products and services that can help simplify people's lives and at the same time creating more business for local Captains.

"Ajman is a beautiful city and one that is increasingly developing its appeal as a home for people to live and work in, as well as a tourist destination for visitors to the Middle East. We hope to play a strong role in the local community and to engage with businesses as well as customers that can benefit from our services and technology."

Careem is free to download and is available for IOS and Android phones.
