Boasting the largest screen on a Note device to date, Samsung Electronics Co. has unveiled the all-new Galaxy Note8, the latest update to the hugely popular smartphone line.

Sporting hardware improvements along with several refinements to features from earlier models, the Galaxy Note8 is the perfect choice for consumers aiming to add a creative twist to their daily lives.

Possibly the device's biggest draw is its 6.3-inch Quad HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity Display, the largest ever introduced in the series. In addition to making it easier to scroll and view content, the Galaxy Note8 includes the new App Pair feature, which enables users to pair most apps onto the Edge panel, as well as allowing two apps to lunch simultaneously in Multi-Window mode.

The device's S Pen has also been improved with a finer tip and enhanced pressure sensitivity. Helping artistic end-users to really maximise on their creativity, the improvements to the S Pen work quite well with the Live Messages tool. The latter allows users to handwrite message, adding special effects and animated GIFs, which can then be shared on the user's preferred messaging and social media app.

In the camera department, the Galaxy Note8 is reportedly the first smartphone to come equipped with two 12MP rear cameras, along with an 8MP Smart Auto Focus front-facing camera. Both the rear wide-angle and telephoto lenses feature Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). The rear cameras also work with the smartphone's Dual Capture mode, which gives the user the opportunity to take two pictures simultaneously.

Commenting on the new device, DJ Koh, president of Mobile Communications Business, Samsung Electronics, said: "We appreciate the relentless passion of the Note community. They've been a constant inspiration to us, and we designed the new Note for them."

"From the Infinity Display to the enhanced S Pen, to the powerful Dual Camera, Note8 lets people do things they never thought were possible."

In terms of hardware performance, the Galaxy Note8 features 6GB RAM, 64GB of storage that is expandable up to 256GB, as well as a 10nm processor. Other features include water and dust resistance and fast wireless charging.
