ServiceNow launches shared security platform to fight cyber threats With the Trusted Security Circles application, organisations are in control.

ServiceNow is helping security analysts fight the war against cyber threats with the launch of its cloud-based application dubbed Trusted Security Circles.

The application offers enterprises the ability to share and receive hyper-relevant threat intelligence in real-time. Typically security teams fight such threats alone, however now they can ask trusted peers, suppliers and partners about threats and how dangerous they are, as well as be forewarned of attacks.

With the Trusted Security Circles application, organisations are in control of how and who they share their data with and also have the option of being anonymous.

When a security team sees suspicious activity in their network, they are able to query it within their chosen defined community. If the number of sightings exceeds a set threshold, a security incident can be automatically opened in ServiceNow Security Operations, which can speed up the response.

Sean Convery, general manager, Security Business Unit, ServiceNow, said: "Securely and anonymously sharing active threat data with trusted peers has simply not been possible.

"Now, security analysts are no longer alone. ServiceNow enables enterprises to apply the power of collaboration to proactively avert attacks."

ServiceNow has also announced its Vendor Risk Management platform, a cloud-based application that aims to automate third-party risk, on-board new vendors and gain visibility of overall exposure.
