The Arab Academy for Science, Technology & Maritime Transport (AASTMT) has signed a strategic partnership with end-user experience management specialist Nexthink to establish an Analytics Center of Excellence in the Middle East.

Collaborating through AASTMT's Academy Company for ICT (ACICT), Nexthink and ACICT will establish the new centre at the AASTMT Cairo Campus in Egypt.

Ahmed Daher, CEO, ACICT said, "We are glad to have partnered with Nexthink. The center of excellence is the first in the Arab region that will play a vital role in boosting research, expanding skills and knowledge and fostering innovation in the field of technology. As a trusted education and training academy, ACICT/ASSTMT together with Nexthink will offer members the expertise, resources and training to better equip themselves."

The facility is expected to cater to students, developers, customers, IT managers and CIOs, who will have access to a number of resources for developing skills and knowledge in advanced IT analytics.

Nexthink has also selected ACICT to serve as a Gold Channel Partner in Egypt, a move that will give the company direct access to Egypt's burgeoning IT market valued at $10.4bn.

Maged Eid, Regional Director - MEA, Nexthink commented: "Businesses are increasingly investing in cutting-edge technologies to drive competitive differentiation. Nexthink's end-user experience management solution brings new visibility and insight to IT departments, providing meaningful data to significantly improve their IT performance and security; while significantly reducing IT costs.

"We are confident that this strategic collaboration with ACICT and AASTMT will enable companies and students to keep pace with the technology trends and address the complex challenges it brings with it. Also, AASTMT's strong reputation will help us tap into this niche market. We look forward to a long and fruitful partnership with them," added Eid.
