Apple will soon rollout its updated operating system, iOS 11, and one of its key features is instilling customer service within its iMessage tool.

Within iOS 11, Apple has included Business Chat for iMessage, this enables businesses and customers to interact using the chat feature. Business Chat is also embedded into other Apple apps, such as Safari, Siri, Spotlight and Maps, plus customers can use Apple Pay to purchase any products.

Customers will be able to purchase a product and then track its movement, as well as other customer service functions. The messages are also saved allowing customers to refer back to them.

In a statement, Apple said: "Business Chat is a powerful new way for businesses to connect with customers directly in Messages. Using Business Chat, your customers can get answers to questions, resolve issues, and complete transactions on their iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch. Customers can find your business and start conversations from Safari, Maps, Spotlight, and Siri."

The feature is provided to businesses subscribed to the developer preview.
