Huawei launches Muslim Daily app for Ramadan The app, dubbed Muslim Daily, offers programs and features to help fasting users with their rituals

Huawei has announced the launch of a Ramadan Android application, specifically designed for the holy month.

The app, dubbed Muslim Daily, offers programs and features to help fasting users with their rituals, such as praying, reciting the Holy Quran, identifying the Qiblah direction, as well as finding the closest mosques.

The app provides offers a range of Ramadan focussed features, such as reciting the Quran, listening to famous Quran reciters, the ability to change reciters and complete the same verses without repeating the Surah from the beginning and using the app whilst it is off.

The Qiblah feature works through GPS navigation and displays prayer times for worldwide destinations and alerts the user when it is time to pray. The app will also find the closet mosques to the user and open Google Maps to show the distance.

Furthermore Muslim Daily shows both the Hijri and Gregorian calendar and will provide information on various religious events and occasions, including Israa and Miraj, Prophet's birthday, the beginning of Ramadan, Arafah, Eid al-Fitr, Eid al-Adha and the Hijri New Year.
