Specialist cyber security company Paladion, which offers end-to-end information security services, has announced that it will soon launch the CyberActive command centre in the third quarter to be based in Dubai.

The move is part of Paladion's CyberActive security operation centres, which the company has in different parts of the world. The company made the revelation at the just ended Gulf Information Security Expo and Conference (GISEC) 2017.

Speaking to Channel Middle East, Amit Roy executive vice president and regional head for Europe, Middle-East and Africa (EMEA)  at Paladion, said the company was at GISEC to showcase is security offerings, raise brand awareness and position the company as a thought leader when it comes to information security.

Roy said given the evolving IT threats landscape in the Middle East, Paladion has decided to add the UAE to countries worldwide where the company has CyberActive security operation centres. "We already have command centres in the USA, Canada, India and Malaysia," he said. "As from the third quarter, Dubai will house our security command centre for the Europe Middle East and Africa. We are delighted with this move as it reaffirms our commitment to this market."

He said Paladion's CyberActive security command centre is a cyber combat grade SOC that blends context, big data and statistical, and machine learning algorithms.

Roy added that this intelligence-led approach to monitoring and response takes traditional threat detection and reaction to the next level by allowing analysts to focus on what is really important instead of spending time mining for the right alerts. "There is no better time than now for us to launch the security command centre in the Middle East," he added.

He pointed out that with the launch, Paladion is well positioned to combat IT threats in EMEA. "With this investment, we are reaffirming our commitment and ensuring that we continue to serve our customers with the confidence they have come to expect from Paladion," he said.

Roy pointed out that Paladion has continued to receive positive feedback from the government, banking and finance, and private sectors in the UAE, Oman, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. "We believe these markets will drive our growth this year and beyond," he said. "With the launch of the CyberActive command centre, Paladion will be in a unique position to address any security concerns customers may have in the broader EMEA market and beyond."
