Igloohome seeks new channel partners in Middle East Igloohome says it was at DISTREE 2017 to assess potential business opportunities with new retail and distribution partners in MENA.

Digital smart locks maker vendor Igloohome has said it was at DISTREE Middle East 2017 to meet new potential channel partners as part of its broader channel and business development strategy aimed at accessing countries in the region where the company doesn't have official distribution channels.

The Singapore-headquartered company said its participation and this year's consumer electronics' show gave Igloohome the opportunity to retail e-tailer and distribution partners operating in Middle East and North Africa (MENA).

Wang Yue, chief operations officer (COO) and co-founder, Igloohome, said the company was at this year's show to assess potential business opportunities with new retail and distribution partners interested in selling digital locks, key boxes as part of the smart home and automation offerings.

"Igloohome is an established digital smart lock vendor in Asia. Our core business is to supply an ecosystem of innovative smart lock products and accessories," he said. "For these devices, we are one of the few vendors capable of offering digital smart locks for home and commercial use."

Yue said the company believes that there is huge potential to unlock in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and North Africa.

"The business is focused around the retail channel, property developers and real estate property management companies," he said. "We have plenty of marketing support, ideas and tools that we will be glad to present to our partners that we recruit in the region. Partnership the key to open doors for lock developer."

He explained that as a start-up that started its operations in 2015, Igloohome has built a solid base of business with key partners in Singapore, China, Hong Kong, Japan and other Asian countries.

"We are looking to develop better business in the Middle East and the entire North Africa market and assess the potential for recruiting retailers and in-country distribution partners.

"The growth of smart home and automation solutions in the region is strong and impressive when it comes to the push around the Internet of Things (IoT). We believe that the regional market will benefit from Igloohome's digital lock and key box array," he added.
