Amazon has now added a video interface to its Echo portfolio. As Amazon's website puts it across: "Echo Show brings you everything you love about Alexa, and now she can show you things".

Users can watch video flash briefings and YouTube, see music lyrics, security cameras, photos, weather forecasts, to-do and shopping lists, and more, just by asking Alexa.

Skype and Face Time also might have to face some competition as Echo Show has also introduced the ability to make hands-free video calls to friends and family who have an Echo Show or the Alexa App, and make voice calls to anyone who has an Echo or Echo Dot.

Echo Show further promises excellent hearing abilities, backed by eight microphones, beam-forming technology, and noise cancellation. That implies it might actually respond to user commands even while music is playing, so does that mean no more of Siri's "I didn't quite hear that" or "I don't understand" ?

Amazon has also launched earlier this year, Echo Look- a personal style assistant with hands-free selfie capabilities.

With the recent acquisition of Souq.com by Amazon, Middle East users definitely have really interesting things to look up to.
