LG launches G6 Smartphone

The new smartphone features large display that supports a resolution of up to 2880 x 1440 and an aspect ratio of 18:9.

LG Electronics has announced the launch of its G6 smartphone, the latest from its mobile phone range that features a large display and wide screen to body ratio.

The LG G6 comes equipped with a 5.7-inch QHD+ Fullvision display capable of displaying in 2880 x 1440 resolution and in an aspect ratio of up to 18:9. Additionally, the smartphone's hardware includes a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 Processor, 4GB LPDDR4 RAM and either 32GB or 64GB UFS 2.0 ROM, as well as a MicroSD slot for up to 2TB.

In terms of its camera, the smartphone's front facing lens supports up to 5MP wide, while the rear dual camera can snap shots up to 13MP Wide & Standard. The G6 operates on the Android 7.0 Nougat operating system.

Other features of the G6 include being notably one of the first smartphones to feature Dolby Vision technology and supports HDR 10. In terms of robustness, the G6 boasts IP68 water and dust resistance, which is capable of immersion in up to 1.5 meters of water for up to 30 mins.
