TP-Link Middle East to launch mobile devices to partners in RAK
Networking vendor moves to promote and raise awareness of its mobile solutions offerings
TP-Link Technologies Co Ltd, a global provider of SOHO, SMB networking products and wireless LAN solutions, has announced it will host a partner event in the emirate of Ras Al-Khaimah, where the company will introduce its Neffos X series smartphone range.
TP-Link said the event will be held on Monday, 20th February, 2017. The launch, which will be held as part of the company's plan to raise partner awareness around its mobile devices business, will also see the company showcase its Neffos X1 and X1 Max smartphones.
According to the vendor, the introduction of the Neffos X series array will help the company to develop this business with retailers, independent high street retailers and channel partners in Ras Al-Khaimah.
Lucas Jiang, general manager, TP-Link Middle East and Africa (MEA), said the unveiling of the Neffos X1 and X1 Max smartphones, which were also recently exhibited at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2017 in Las Vegas, will help partners to unlock more business opportunities in the retail sector because the handsets combine quality design and craftsmanship with high performance.
Jiang said since the launch of the Neffos smartphone portfolio, TP-Link has invested heavily in research and development (R&D) and business development schemes to ensure that the superior technology in the devices is backed by a business model that helps partners to be profitable when they invest in this business. "We have already received positive feedback from partners in Dubai about the Neffos X series array," he said. "By hosting a dedicated partner event in Ras Al-Khaimah, we a demonstrating our commitment to developing the mobile devices business across the UAE together with our distribution and channel partners."
He added that TP-Link is looking to strengthen its position in the mobile devices space and hosting this event will give the company an opportunity to update partners on the roadmap, business development strategy and how the mobile offerings fit with the connected lifestyle and smart home offerings. "We are excited to be officially presenting the Neffos X series array of smartphones," he said. "We look forward to this event and hopefully we will be able to recruit new partners in Ras Al-Khaimah."
The Neffos X1 and X1 Max are built with high quality materials to provide an enhanced user experience, whilst also featuring a microphone hole, camera and fingerprint sensor. The sensor unlocks the device in 0.2 seconds by relying on sophisticated algorithms, meaning the more the user unlocks the device the more accurate it becomes over time.
The frame of the device measure 7.85mm thick, however its visual thickness is 2.75mm, plus its IPS display is 5-inches for the X1 and 5.5-inches for the X1 Max. The Neffos X1 and X1 Max are also ideal for playing graphics-rich games and watching TV shows and movies on the go.
Both models are equipped with a rear camera backed by a 13-megapixel Sony IMX258 sensor with dual-tone flash, 5-element lens, backside illumination, and fast phase-detection auto-focus of just 0.2 seconds.
TP-Link entered the mobile devices market in January 2016, a move that marked the company's expansion from being a fixed networking and wireless equipment supplier of products that like routers, switches and range extenders to a consumer and lifestyle devices vendor.
