Avaya has announced the appointment of a regional sales leader for Bahrain, Iraq, Kuwait and Pakistan.

Faten Halabi will focus on driving business with partners in these four countries and work closely with customers to help them achieve their digital transformation objectives, the company says. She will also help to drive adoption of Avaya’s latest solutions, including Avaya Breeze, Avaya Oceana, and Avaya Equinox.

Halabi has been with Avaya since 2014, working as business development director in Bahrain.

With organisations across the region facing challenges to evolve digitally and move agilely in today’s competitive markets, CEOs are increasingly putting digital transformation and customer engagement at the top of their corporate agendas. Avaya has successfully transitioned into a software and services-led company, which today account for three quarters of revenue, and provides a range of cloud-based solutions and professional services, designed to help organizations achieve their digital transformation objectives more easily and cost-effectively.

Mohammed Areff, VP, Avaya Middle East, Africa and Turkey, “Since joining Avaya, Faten Halabi has demonstrated a deep understanding of our customers’ needs – and how best to resolve them. Organisations in these countries face the same challenges as their counterparts elsewhere, and Faten’s breadth and depth of knowledge and experience will enable her to be a trusted adviser to clients. I am fully confident she will continue to bring her high-energy, high-touch, high-commitment approach to this demanding new role and will build and develop lasting relationships in these four countries.”

“Having worked in a broad range of business and consulting roles before joining Avaya, I can resonate with customers’ objectives and understand their business strategies and future goals,” says Halabi. “This role will see me keeping close to existing clients, while building relationships with new customers. This is an extremely exciting time for this region, and Avaya is perfectly positioned to help customers achieve their digital transformation goals. I look forward to growing the Avaya brand in these four countries.”
