Hertz implements Orange’s Datavenue IoT solutions Orange's IoT solution will enable connectivity across seven European countries: Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Spain and UK.

Global car rental company Hertz has awarded a three-year contract to Orange Business Services to introduce IoT connectivity solutions to its hourly vehicle rental service.

Orange's IoT solution will enable connectivity across seven European countries: Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Spain and UK.               

Hertz 24/7 hourly rental service will incorporate Orange's Datavenue IoT solution, which will provides voice services from the vehicles, directly to the Hertz contact centre. Instead of engaging with local operators to provide sim cards in each country, Hertz is now able to oversee management of its fleet's sim cards and service management through Orange.

Orange Business Services' Datavenue is a modular IT and analytics solution, which covers the collation of relevant data and objects, implementation of a secure connection, as well as management of the customer information system environment.
