Epson unveils SureColor SC-P5000 printer

Epson unveils SureColor SC-P5000 printer Epson new unit is designed specifically to replace the Stylus Pro 4900, and to compete against the SC-P7000 and SC-P9000 in the SureColor range with HDX ink.

Epson recently announced the launch of its SureColor SC-P5000 17-inch printer, designed for proofing, fine art and photography application.

The SC-P5000 comes equipped with either a violet or LLK inkset. Furthermore, the printer can achieve crystal perfect colour matching of up to 99% of Pantone Solid Coated Colours.

Epson new unit is designed specifically to replace the Stylus Pro 4900, and to compete against the SC-P7000 and SC-P9000 in the SureColor range with HDX ink.

Shihab Zubair, regional sales manager, says, “It doesn’t matter whether users are product designers, artists or photographers, they all want one thing – colour accuracy. With the new SC-P5000, colours are so precise that you can print in complete confidence, knowing the exact colour you want will be perfectly reproduced in the finished print.

“And you don’t even need to be an expert to get these results – the SC-P5000 is extremely simple to set up and use, and offers outstanding reliability.”

Features of the new SC-P5000 include 2880x1440dpi resolution, an ILS30 spectrometer, simple media switching between roll & sheet media, an auto nozzle check to prevent clogging, as well as an enlarged ink cartridge volume of 200ml. It is the also the only 17" large format printer with violet ink for proofing purposes.
