DEWA wins three awards in Hamdan bin Mohammed Smart Government Awards

Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has won three awards in the 2016 Hamdan bin Mohammed Award for Smart Government.

DEWA won the Best New Government Service category for its Green Charger initiative, Best Mobile Government Service category for its smart app, and the Best Website category for DEWA's website.

The Green Charger initiative is developing the infrastructure and charging stations for electric vehicles, with around 100 charging stations set up so far, while DEWA's app and website have both been developed to offer high standards of usability and access to the company's services.

HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA, commented on the wins: "We appreciate the efforts of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Chairman of the Executive Council of Dubai, who supports government organisations to implement smart initiatives. We are proud to have won in three categories of the Hamdan bin Mohammed Award for Smart Government. This adds to our roster of achievements in these prestigious awards.
