Intracom Telecom launches new E-band radio ideal for cost-sensitive wireless FTTx and enterprise connectivity services
During GITEX Technology Week 2016, Intracom Telecom launched the UltraLink-BX70, an E-Band radio, operating in the 71-76 GHz that addresses the access and enterprise connectivity market segment needs. Operating in TDD mode, UltraLink-BX70 can offer flexibility and efficiency in the delivery of services with asymmetric traffic profiles, such as broadband access or camera backhaul services.
This all-outdoor Ethernet radio is ideally suited for use in cost-sensitive, highcapacity applications. Many types of organisations that require Gbps connectivity can benefit from the UltraLink-BX70 rich features and capabilities.
The company also demonstrated its smart city platform that is ideal for municipalities and cities that want their infrastructure to interact with the public. The solution allows full control of infrastructure and monitor, in real-time, the quality of services offered.
This platform is beyond simply lighting, combining, all in one, vendor agnostic LED electronic, sensors, WiFi, Bluetooth and multi-processor intelligence. By combining LED light technology with communication and sensing capabilities, in the same lighting infrastructure, city authorities not only drastically reduce energy consumption and city OpEx but also generate revenues by providing in addition to smart lighting, services to their citizens such as WiFi access, smart parking, physical security, waste management, content streaming via a comprehensive command and control environment for smarter cities. Furthermore, the vendor presented its end-to-end enablement and monetisation platform, designed for the Internet of Things (IoT) era.
The NGINius suite is designed to enable service providers to maximise revenue and efficiently control applications in diverse IoT domains, while supporting the full spectrum of business models. Intracom Telecom also demonstrated its innovations in the software defined networks and network function virtualisation (SDN and NFV) areas that empower service providers achieve intelligent orchestration and smooth migration of complex networks to the NFV paradigm.
In addition, Intracom Telecom showcased its smart metering and energy management solution for automated data reading and processing of electricity, gas and heat, which may also be enhanced with energy portals or/and smartphone applications, as well as a complete revenue management, customer management and energy analytics stack, leveraging the company's strong heritage in the O/BSS field.
