.GOV Awards Saudi Arabia recognise Kingdom's digital government efforts The .GOV Awards Saudi Arabia were presented to the leaders in government ICT in the Kingdom.

The leaders of public sector IT in Saudi Arabia have been honoured at the second .GOV Awards Saudi Arabia, which were presented in Riyadh yesterday.

The awards are presented to government organisations and IT professionals in recognition of their achievements in driving the digital transformation of the Kingdom.

Fifteen awards were presented at a gala dinner at the Al Faisaliah Hotel, Riyadh, with around 200 IT leaders and professionals in attendance. The second .GOV Awards Saudi Arabia attracted a strong field of nominations, reflecting the diversity of the use of technology among government entities in the Kingdom.

The winners of the .GOV Saudi Arabia Awards 2016 are:

Government Mobile App of the Year - General Directorate of Passports, Passport App

G2C Service of the Year - Ministry of Justice, Najez Portal

G2B Service of the Year - Ministry of Commerce & Investment, E-Commercial Register

G2G Service of the Year - Ministry of Education, Maqbool Service

Customer Service Initiative of the Year - Municipality of Riyadh - Mobile Services

Public-Private Partnership of the Year - STC and ELM, Saudi Cloud Computing Company

Corporate Social Responsibility Project of the Year - Saudi Red Crescent Authority, Emergency Contact Centre

Green IT Initiative of the Year - Ministry of Commerce & Investment - Green Environment Initiative

IT Application Project of the Year - Al Imam University, Enterprise Service Bus Project

Unified Communications Project of the Year - King Abdullah Medical City, Unified Communications Project

IT Infrastructure Project of the Year - Ministry of Finance, Data Centre Project

Innovation in Government Services Award - Ministry of Civil Service, Tawtheeq

Government IT Department of the Year - Deanship of IT and eLearning, Hail University

Young Government IT Professional of the Year - Abdul Rahman Al Mutairi, Directorate of Narcotics Control

Government IT Leader of the Year - Dr Yousef Al-Ohali, Ministry of Education

 The .GOV Awards were established by ITP Technology's DotGov magazine in 2015, to recognise the achievements of the public sector in the field of ICT in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, and to honour the outstanding efforts by the public sector in the GCC to use the power of technology to deliver innovative and engaging government services.
