Reports have surfaced claiming Instagram will soon feature Facebook's live video streaming function, enabling users to stream and view live videos from the app.

A report by Russian news site, T Journal, revealed that the live functionality feature is embedded into the Instagram stories section. Next to this sits the "Live" banner which users can tap to reveals a page called "Live Broadcasts" and to share videos, Instagram fans can click the red button, dubbed "Go Insta!".

Parent company Facebook has been utilising live video streaming for a while now, as well as other social apps including Periscope, Twitter, and Snapchat, therefore it was only a matter of time before Instagram did the same. Earlier this year, Instagram also adopted Snapchat-style stories, which gives the impression that this additional feature may be true.

With this said, the photo and video sharing application has not commented on T Journal's findings, therefore this is only speculation.
