DoF unveils ‘Open Data Portal’ Paul: Finesse delighted to be associated with DoF portal project.

The Government of Dubai’s Department of Finance (DoF) has revealed at GITEX Technology Week, a digital portal aimed at educating individual and corporate customers on governmental fees and fines.

The Open Data Portal for governmental fees and fines will also prevent fees duplication, according to DoF. The innovative dashboard will show all services provided by the Dubai’s governmental entities, along with their fees and related penalties.

“Building a unified governmental fees and fines database will allow government entities to know each other’s fees and fines,” says Jamal Hamed al-Marri, Executive Director for Central Accounts, DoF. “Knowledge sharing will not only spur the entities to propose new ideas to develop the government revenues, but will also contribute greatly in ensuring there is no duplication of fees and fines across the entities and therefore increase the results efficiency to close to 100 per cent.”
