Dubai Technology Entrepreneur Centre (DTEC), an initiative by Dubai Silicon Oasis Authority, (DSOA) is promoting its services at GITEX Technology Week. DTEC is also running a start-up competition, inviting tech companies from around the world to submit their ideas for a chance to win a cash prize worth $10,000.
“The Entrepreneur Day is a competition that is running right now. We’re inviting entrepreneurs and start-ups from around to apply and 10 start-ups will be shortlisted to pitch next month on Nov 16,” says Dtec manager – incubation centre Sirine Fadoul.
“Anyone from around the world – start-ups in the early stage in technology, whether they’re developing apps or IoT, smart city, health tech, fintech – if they’re developing innovative products in those spaces, they can apply online through our website,” she adds.
The Entrepreneur Day is Dtec’s flagship event, with 500 attendees, including investors, tech professionals and entrepreneurs expected to attend the event. In addition to the cash prize, the winner could potentially win incubation support from DTEC, which has currently invested in 15 early stage start-ups.
