Curved signage pulls in the crowd at LG’s stand

Digital signage is all the rage at LG Electronics’ stand at GITEX Technology Week 2016. During an interview with Audai Altaie, regional director of sales/HE B2B, Middle East and Africa (MEA), LG Electronics, large crowds had gathered to examine its new curved and super-thin digital signage products.
“This is a major new trend in digital technology, but we’ve taken it one step further in the business environment by having video walls and digital signage solutions that are unique and able to curve in a way that no other digital signage provider can,” says Altaie. “We also have dual-sided signage video walls, wallpaper signage and systems that are built into the glass of an office.”
LG’s wallpaper digital signage solutions are so thin that they can be hung on a wall with no visible break in its smoothness. “Instead of being measured in terms of centimetres, its measures in millimetres,” adds Altaie. “Another major achievement for us is the ability to display ‘true’ black, which really makes the other colours pop.”
Altaie says LG is “way ahead of everyone else”, but the comoany is using GITEX as a platform to encourage other third-party digital signage providers to work with them. “Together we can raise the limit further,” he says. “We can complete their solution, which may be very good, but we can take it to the next level.”
