Innovation central to DEWA DEWA’s stand at GITEX 2016 includes innovative new solutions such as virtual reality and wearable devices.

Cutting edge technologies are taking centre place for the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) at GITEX Technology Week.

DEWA is showcasing innovative new technologies including VR and wearable devices, as well as demonstrating its award-winning smart services, to show how DEWA is helping to make a happy Dubai.

Innovation and technology is a major pillar that drives DEWA’s strategy in stimulating and implementing creative services that achieves people’s happiness, says HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA.

“DEWA’s participation in GITEX 2016 will introduce customers to its smart services, and initiatives aimed at achieving their happiness. This supports the vision of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum - Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai - to transform Dubai into the smartest and happiest city in the world, and the Dubai Plan 2021, to make Dubai a smart, integrated, and connected city with a proactive government, which is creative and capable of meeting the needs of individuals, and society as a whole.”

DEWA is also launching its smart services campaign, to increase its customers’ use of its smart initiatives, and to encourage them to adopt a more sustainable lifestyle.

Some of the smart services DEWA is showing include the Hololense-3D reality technology, along with the DEWA app, which is available on a plethora of platforms, such as the Apple TV, Apple Watch, Samsung Gear Watch, and Samsung home entertainment systems.
