Dubai Land Department is looking to enhance its financial procedures, with the launch of its new digital payment service.

The new payment system is intended to offer customers an alternative to using credit cards and cheques, and is available for web and as an app, called ‘Noqdi’.
Saad Abdulla Ahammadi, director of financial affairs department, Land Department of Government of Dubai, explained that the system offers a simple way to pay, which is also secure and convenient.

“This application will make it easier for the client; they can download the application, register by email, and then do the payments. With the launch today, we are able to make 100% of our procedures available for smart payment. For next year, our target is that 50% of our transactions will be through this process,”Ahammadi said.

The Smart Pay Service allows customers to settle fees electronically. The system also enables customers to pay the outstanding amount through a smart app connected to the screen with several other payment methods, which includes credit cards, bank transfers from selected banks in addition to ’Noqodi Wallet’.
