Kaspersky Lab has appointed Maxim Frolov as managing director for META region (Middle East, Turkey and Africa).

In this role, Frolov is responsible for developing the business throughout the territory of more than 60 countries. He looks to strengthen the company’s leadership in the region by fortifying partner relationships and promoting new offerings for enterprise and SMB organisations.

“Kaspersky Lab focuses on turning its expertise into effective award-winning solutions and services and helping customers protect what’s important for them. We see that there is still a lot to improve in terms of cybersecurity in this fast developing region, so together with our local partners, we will work on making cyberspace safer for users by providing our offerings and raising awareness about cyberthreats”, said Frolov.

Maxim Frolov brings with him vast experience in the IT sector spanning sales, marketing, and primarily distribution. His previous experience includes working in Microsoft Russia as SMB director responsible for re-shaping the distribution strategy and channel approach to new sales models and cloud solutions. Prior to that, he worked for 10 years at Seagate Technology where he rose from sales representative to managing director of Russia and the CIS countries.

“Maxim takes all the responsibilities for growing our business in the region and for leading the regional teams. He is well familiar with Kaspersky Lab’s business as he used to work for the company, besides he has more than 18 years of sales and managerial experience in the field of IT. We are sure that he will strengthen our partner network and make our solutions and services available to a wider range of customers – from government organisations and critical infrastructures to home users,” commented Alexander Moiseev, chief sales officer, Kaspersky Lab.

In recent years, Kaspersky Lab has been expanding its enterprise security portfolio with solutions and services based on threat intelligence to ensure better protection for its customers. The company offers its corporate customers Security Intelligence Services, as well as the integrated Kaspersky Endpoint Security platform and a range of specialised targeted solutions. Among its new offerings are Kaspersky Endpoint Security Cloud – software-as-a-Service solution that provides small and medium-sized businesses with multi-layered IT security, and Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity – a solution designed to protect complex industrial environments.
