Acronis will focus on its Acronis Backup 12 at GITEX Technology Week 2016.

Acronis Backup 12 can achieve RTOs (Recovery Time Objectives) of 15-seconds or less, and offers complete protection on 15 platforms.

"This is our 3rd year at GITEX, and our participation this year will help us bring the power of the Acronis Backup 12 direct to customers and partners," said Guurprit Ahuja, director, Middle East and Africa at Acronis. "Backup and recovery is often an afterthought, and legacy backup systems fail to provide adequate protection due to today's increasingly complex IT infrastructure. Our aim is to educate end-users and partners on why efficient backup and recovery solutions are an important component of IT investments with businesses of all sizes."

Acronis is witnessing a growing number of Middle East organisations, both large and small, moving towards hybrid cloud models, where data is stored on premise but also in multiple company locations for easy access. Since most critical business assets are digital, and aren't confined to a single device or location, businesses need a backup solution that can seamlessly provide complete data protection, in support of this digital asset model.

"The need for hybrid cloud data protection is stronger that it has ever been. Our Acronis Backup 12 solution gives businesses protection in this new super digital world, and enables them to control their data no matter where it resides. The solution offers businesses the power to retrieve their digital assets with lightning efficiency, regardless of the reason for the data loss," added Ahuja.

Acronis Backup 12 provides a range of data protection support for Microsoft infrastructure and applications including Microsoft Exchange, Office365, SharePoint, Active Directory, Windows Server, Windows PC, Hyper-V, Azure, as well as Azure Stack (upon its release). Acronis Backup 12 will also support the upcoming release of Microsoft Windows Server 2016, including Hyper-V with resilient change tracking (RCT).

Furthermore, the company will showcase Acronis Access Advanced which is an enterprise file sharing solution that makes users more productive and gives IT complete control over business content to ensure security, maintain compliance, and enable BYOD.
