Nedaa to provide wireless communications networks to new theme park

Dubai Parks and Resorts has selected Professional Communication Corporation - Nedaa to provide its internal wireless radio network.

Nedaa will supply and install a complete wireless network to connect the park 30.6 million square feet resort, including TETRA radio, and indoor and outdoor networks. The multi-themed resort, which includes zones based on Hollywood, Bollywood and LEGO, is due to open next month.

The government-owned WiFi network integrator will provide all of the equipment for the wireless deployment, including 1,000 Airbus wireless devices, and a fully integrated Terrestrial Trunked Radio (TETRA) professional mobile radio network.

Nedaa's technology partner, Esharah Etisalat Security Solutions, will provide a team of engineers and technicians to deliver full support and training on the new networks.

Prior to the destination's opening, Nedaa will carry out testing for both day-to-day operations and for the emergency communications plan.

"Furthermore, the wireless communications station and equipment we will acquire for the project will guarantee smooth and reliable communications among resort staff during day-to-day operations, in line with our goal of delivering innovative solutions to optimize communications between the park's mobile teams and stations," Bu Osaiba added.
