Avaya avails cloud UC solution for SMBs
Avaya IP Office release 10 designed to enhance security and resiliency
Avaya has announced the latest version of the Avaya IP Office Platform, its unified communications solution for small and midsize businesses.
Avaya IP Office release 10 is available as a cloud, hybrid cloud, or premises-based deployment, enabling organisations to deploy a UC solution based on business need, while benefiting from enhancements in security, resiliency and better end-user experience that cloud offers.
With Avaya IP Office release 10, channel partners can deliver cloud-hosted unified communications (UC) and contact centre (CC) solutions to customers, while maintaining an on-premises gateway, allowing the customer to take trunk lines from service providers and satisfy regulatory requirements in the Middle East.
Avaya IP Office release 10 is also designed with security and resiliency in mind. Now, built-in signalling and media encryption for endpoints and UC clients helps preserve privacy and data integrity — critical in any deployment, but especially in those delivered through pure or hybrid cloud services. This feature in Avaya IP Office is provided at no extra cost.
The latest version of IP Office takes brings a novel approach to resilience, providing system failover cloud to cloud, cloud to premises, premises to cloud and premises to premises, designed to ensure the system stays active and users maintain connectivity throughout the outage.
The Avaya IP Office Platform is available through authorised channel partners in three deployment options: premises-based, hybrid or pure cloud solution.
“Mid-market customers here in the region are looking for solutions that enable them to move to the cloud at their own pace and path, while leveraging their existing investments. Avaya IP Office release 10 gives them the best of both worlds: a solution they know they can trust and that allows them to add new capabilities based on business need,” says Khalid Khan, mid-market director, Asia, Middle East and Africa, Avaya.
