Equinix appoints Brian Lillie to chief customer officer

Lillie previously served as vice president of global IT and will be replaced by Milind Wagle who will serve as global CIO.

Equinix appoints Brian Lillie to chief customer officer Brian Lillie, chief customer officer, Equinix and EVP of Technology services.

Equinix, a global interconnection and data centre company, recently announced the appointment of Brian Lillie to the position of chief customer officer (CCO) and EVP of Technology services.

Following an internal promotion, Lillie's new role will involve directly managing the global Customer Success Organization, while striving to enable growth and success for Equinix's global 8,000 customer base.

Lillie previously served as global CIO of Equinix for the past eight years.

Replacing him as the new global CIO will be Milin Wagle, who will report directly to the Customer Success Organization. Wagle previously held the position of vice-president of global IT within the CIO organisation.

Taking over for Lillie, the new CIO is tasked in leading the global IT team and overseeing the implementation of its offerings in enterprise applications and information security. Furthermore, Wagle will also see the expansion of end-user technology infrastructure support for the company's 5,600 employees worldwide.

The new CIO has been with Equinix for six years and has held numerous leadership positions in companies, such as VeriSign, KPMG Consulting and BearingPoint.
