French Tech PAVILION at GITEX to feature 22 exhibitors and start-ups
The pavilion will be located at the DWTC’s Hall 4 of the all-new Zabeel Hall from 16 – 20 October, 2016.
The French Tech pavilion, a Business France initiative, has announced that it will be hosting 22 French exhibitors and start-ups at this year's upcoming GITEX Technology Week 2016.
Participating exhibitors under the nation's pavilion will join an estimated 500 starts-ups that are expected to join this year's edition of the technology show. Furthermore, the start-ups will be competing for the chance to win $1m at the GITEX Start-Up competition.
Fayssal Majid, the project manager of the French Tech pavilion for Business France, said: "We wanted to offer French exhibitors a tailored program that supports them throughout their development in the Gulf region.
He added: "We will have a reception area set up at each of the two pavilions to direct visitors towards the French exhibitors. By taking part in GITEX, they can take advantage of our knowledge, meet new customers, and develop strong ties with local decision makers."
The pavilion's exhibiting firms hail from a variety of sectors, which includes network and software, M2M and mobile applications, IT security, and telecommunications. It will also feature Reunion Island's Regional Investment and Innovation Development Agency, NEXA.
Additionally, four French start-ups - Bell & Wyson, Famoco, Oledcomm and Think & GO NFC - will be presenting their latest designs.
According to IDC and Syntec Numérique, the French software publishing, IT services, and technology consulting market was worth €50.5 billion in 2015, with a 2.2% year-on-year increase.
