EMC grows protection portfolio for VMware Environments

EMC Corporation has recently launched a new array of products designed to optimise protection of VMware workloads within a variety of environments.

A recent study of over 2,700 businesses and IT professionals in EMEA, conducted by Arlington Research showed that 80% of CIOs adhere to a scalable and flexible converged infrastructure.

Furthermore the survey found increased interest from participants on converged and hyper converged infrastructure.

By integration between VMware's software and EMC's data protection, enables end-users to employ and monitor the protection from their virtual workloads. Additionally, the approach includes enhanced support VMware Virtual SAN, VMware vSphere and expanded data protection options for VCE® VxRail Appliances.

Beth Phalen, Senior Vice President and GM of Data Protection and Availability Solutions, EMC, shared: "Businesses need data protection everywhere - and that's as true with virtual machines and converged appliances as it is for traditional storage arrays."
