Honeywell launches wireless ring scanner in ME
The high-performance 8670 Wireless Ring Scanner is designed to assist workers while keeping both hands free for the task on hand.
Honeywell, a diversified technology and manufacturing company, has recently unveiled its high-performance 8670 Wireless Ring Scanner.
Both compact and lightweight, the scanner is designed to allow workers to use the device's functions, while also keeping both hands free to work. The unit is capable of delivering high-speed decoding, motion tolerance and the ability to decode poor quality or damaged bar codes.
Additionally, its 2d imager can be utilised as a one dimensional scanner and can capture small bar codes in high detail, which can then be transmitted wirelessly via Bluetooth.
Tony Nasr, general manager of Middle East, Africa & Turkey at Honeywell Sensing & Productivity Solutions, said: "This new Bluetooth ring scanner pairs with devices such as Honeywell's Dolphin 70e mobile computer or Thor VM2 vehicle-mount computer, in which customers in the Middle East can enhance productivity.
"The device enables workers to use both hands for a range of tasks, including picking and stocking to package handling and truck loading."
He added: "The additional benefit for businesses across the region is that the solution works with any Bluetooth-capable host device, meaning customers are not locked into a limited set of computers."
