BDL Gulf gets new retail sales manager
Ahmed Zain to help the company to develop it retail channel business
IT distributor BDL Gulf, has announced the appointment of Ahmed Zain as the new retail sales manager, effectively immediately.
In the new role, Zain will be responsible for guiding the retail channel and assisting partners to grow BDL Gulf's share of business in the consumer electronics retail market in the GCC. In addition, stated the company, Zain will also help BDL Gulf to recruit new resellers and retailers across the region.
Zain's appointment is one of many new appointments by the company since May 2016, when KSA-based conglomerate Al-Sudais Group acquired BDL Gulf FZCO.
Remarking on his role, Zaid said: "Having worked for BDL in the past as MSI product manager, I understand the business model and the culture within the company. I am delighted to have joined the company in a role that will see me work with retailers in the Gulf."
He explained that as BDL Gulf is onboarding new vendor partners in the retail segment, it is important that retail partners are properly supported and helped to grow their businesses in the region. "We already work with the big power retailers across the Gulf," he said. "However, I have also been tasked with the duty of expanding our base of retailers and am looking forward to the prospects that lie ahead."
Zain said because he has more than 10 years' experience in channel roles, he has enough understanding of guiding partners to have the right expectation both from a product and business strategy perspective.
