Zero.1 set to launch management system for healthcare sector
HEALTHCARE4U will introduce a number of novel technologies for patient and staff management.
Zero.1, a UAE-based LiFi company, has unveiled plans to launch a management system designed specifically for the healthcare sector. Aptly named HEALTHCARE4U, the system will introduce a variety of tools for the management of patient and staff.
This includes the utilisation of fingerprint ID or QR codes, patient queue management, and a geolocalisation capability. The latter will enhance the response time for security and emergency teams.
Additionally, the platform will also contain an asset management capability that will aid healthcare operators in overseeing the storage of equipment, as well as the recovery of patient and staff records.
Patient who download the related app will gain access to mapping and visitor communications, parking assistance and payments. Furthermore, the app will also allow them to pre-order food and beverages, order specific retail, and share feedback on the overall service.
Marc Fleschen, Zero.1 CEO says: "The HEALTHCARE4U solution is in the final development stages. We expect to be able to demonstrate it capabilities in the last quarter of 2016."
The HEALTHCARE4U will be paired with the company's Light Fidelity (LiFi) offerings, a wireless optical networking technology that uses light-emitting diodes (LEDs) for data transmission.
Compared to traditional Wi-Fi infrastructure, LiFi technology boasts faster downloads, improved data transmission, and is free from electromagnetic smog typically generated by radio frequency technologies such as WiFi and Bluetooth.
