Commvault partners with Cisco to launch backup and recovery solution Hussain: "Since the original rollout, we have upgraded to the 11th version of Commvault's data platform, which has resulted in backup times becoming significantly quicker and archive recall speeds that are on a par with accessing un-archived files, across our environment."

Commvault and its partner Cisco recently launched reference architectures on its software deployed on the Cisco Unified Computing Systems infrastructure.

Serving as a set of guidelines and best delivery methods for certain tech deployments, the reference architectures enables customers to consolidate their backup and recovery processes through an all-in-one offering.

Matloob Hussain, ICT Infrastructure Engineer, Xentrall ICT Services, said: "We have had significant success using Commvault Software in combination with our Cisco UCS and Nimble infrastructure to turn our data into a significant strategic asset for our organization."

He added: "Since the original rollout, we have upgraded to the 11th version of Commvault's data platform, which has resulted in backup times becoming significantly quicker and archive recall speeds that are on a par with accessing un-archived files, across our environment."

In addition to reducing costs and mitigating the hassle of deploying multiple single-purpose appliances, replaced with a modernised data infrastructure, Commvault Reference Architectures allows clients to deploy quickly and with minimal implementation risks.

Additionally, Commvault is also poised to support Cisco's HyperFlex hyper convergence system, which will aid organisations in managing data workloads and applications across virtualised infrastructures.

Tom Cahill, Vice President, Product and Partner Management, CDW, shared: "When we look for solutions to our customers' important data backup, recovery and management needs, both on-premise and outside in hybrid cloud scenarios, we not only require exceptional technologies, but also solutions built on partnerships by trusted industry leaders.

"Through their new reference architectures, Commvault and Cisco are going to make it easier and faster for CDW to deliver the solutions that add value for our customers."
