Smart Dubai Government Establishment (SDG) has honoured three individuals for contributing ideas through the Mohammed Bin Rashid Smart Majlis platform.

Three idea owners, namely, Eng. Ahmed Al Zarooni, Abdullah Saeed Al Habsi, and Ali Hussain, were honoured by SDG for their contributions.

The Majlis platform was established as an integrated platform to allow individuals to submit ideas, suggestions and comments on the development of Dubai as a leading city. To date, 442 ideas related to Smart Dubai Government have been received through the platform, and 73 ideas for the Smart Dubai Initiative have also been received.

HE Wesam Al Abbas Lootah, CEO of SDG, said: "Dubai has not received the ‘Pearl of the World' title haphazardly but because it's really the city of happiness. Mohammed Bin Rashid Smart Majlis is evidence of the wise vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, which believes that innovative governments are capable of harnessing the energies of their peoples and improving the power of human mind."

"A key feature of the smart city lies in its ability to launch comprehensive and integrated smart initiatives across the city and make them available for everyone through smart systems and approaches based on knowledge and logical analysis of the streaming innovative ideas. As an example we have the innovative ideas and smart services offered by Mohammed Bin Rashid Smart Majlis, which contribute effectively to pushing the wheel of development, economic growth and smart transformation, in a sustainable manner in line with the world's highest competitiveness standards. This falls in line with the directives of HH Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council, which stressed the need to focus on smart transformation and performance efficiency," Lootah added.

The Mohammed Bin Rashid Smart Majlis is just one of the channels for SDG to generate innovative ideas and to get feedback from customers. SDG also has a Customer Experience Lab, hosts brainstorming sessions and undertakes social media initiatives to get input that can be used to enhance customers' happiness and satisfaction.
