Dubai Chamber has revamped its website, to deliver a new range of quick and innovative services to its members and to provide an information resource for the business community.
The redesigned website (www.dubaichamber.com), has been improved with new features to be more business-friendly, innovative, accessible and smart, the Chamber said, as well as to enhance services to its 190,000 member companies and to international businesses who are considering setting up operations in Dubai.
The new site has also been developed to cater to an increase in site traffic, as visitor numbers grew by 44% from 2011-2015, to 976,000 visits by end of last year. The Chamber expects the new site to gain over one million visits by end of 2016.
The new site includes a number of new features for users, including better support for mobile devices, better sharing with social networks, more user-friendly, value-added services, and much faster response time.
The site includes features for disabled users, including the ReadSpeaker text-to-speech plugin in Arabic and English, for people with vision impairment and text enlargement feature for the visually impaired.
Other enhancements include personal dashboards that can be customised for each user, to show the data that they want.
HE Hamad Buamim, president and CEO, Dubai Chamber, said that the site has been designed to provide fast and easy access to rich content and innovative services to enhance the performance and competitiveness of the business community.
The new website also offers a range of electronic services including registration of new membership and modification of existing membership, registration and amendments to the certificates of origin, verification of signatures as well as browsing of the Dubai Commercial Directory. It also offers the e-payment service for those wanting to participate in the Chamber events and access to seminars and training workshops and facility to browse the e-library.
Browsers can also check the events calendar or subscribe to keep themselves informed of all industry related events with easy access to economic research and studies with a single click.
The website also hosts the Chamber TV, which is a first-of-its-kind Online Video Channel in the Gulf region, that showcases Chamber-related news and business events besides showcasing the activities of the organisation.
