TRA’s mGov Centre for Digital Innovation offers ample training and basic skills for job seekers
The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) has launched an online facility providing free online training on various skills via the authority's mGov Centre of Digital Innovation (CoDI).
The online platform is dedicated to UAE job seekers who can register through mGov's website to access the training sessions.
The initiative aims to assist prospective employees to increase their chances of getting hired with an array of training programmes, information and orientation on possible employers they may consider applying to. Job seekers will also receive an accredited certification from mGov CoDI.
H.E. Hamad Obaid Al Mansoori, Director-General at TRA, said: "This new initiative aims to facilitate and enhance the qualifications of UAE nationals and support the initiatives of the government's Emiratisation across industries, and enable them to acquire scientific and practical skills and become competitive in their chosen field. The job portal is also in line with mGov's mission to hasten the ‘smart transformation' process in accordance with the UAE's e-government plans at the federal level."
Majed Al Mazloum, UAE TRA CoDI program director has urged job seekers to take advantage of the free sessions that match their work interests. Some of the sessions included are mGov roadmap, mGov management, mGov IT infrastructure, mGov mobile application development and mGov mobile security, as-well-as the basic principles of management, communication, and writing, marketing and selling skills.
The CoGI is a government project which offers services for testing and verifying online security and functionality of mobile applications for various government agencies and educational institutions. At present it has trained more than 3,000 employees and students since it began in 2014.
