The second annual .GOV Awards for Dubai & the Northern Emirates Government were presented last night in Dubai, honouring the organisations and IT professionals that are leading the digital transformation of government in the UAE.

Eighteen awards were presented to public sector entities and personnel, recognising the best IT projects, initiatives and individual achievement by government in Ajman, Sharjah, Dubai, Ras al-Khaimah, Fujairah and Umm al-Quwain.

Over 200 IT leaders and professionals attended the gala dinner held at the Conrad Hotel.

The .GOV Awards were established by ITP Technology's DotGov magazine in 2015, to recognise the achievements of the public sector in the field of ICT in the UAE, and to honour the outstanding efforts by the public sector in the GCC to use the power of technology to deliver innovative and engaging government services.

The .GOV Awards 2016 attracted well over 100 nominations across Ajman, Sharjah, Dubai, Ras al-Khaimah, Fujairah and Umm al-Quwain government bodies. The winners of the second .GOV Awards for Dubai & Northern Emirates Government are:
