UAE to have strong representation at Milipol Qatar 2016
Milipol Qatar 2016, the region's international event for homeland security, takes place in October 2016
Milipol Qatar 2016, the region's international event for homeland security has confirmed the participation of eight companies from the UAE, as well as other regional and global firms.
The event enables companies to showcase their products and services and also network with other firms in the fields of security, safety, detection and prevention equipment and systems.
Organised by the Ministry of Interior of the State of Qatar in partnership with the French-based Comexposium Security, under the patronage of Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani, the Emir of the State of Qatar this year's exhibition will also feature conferences covering key topics such as critical infrastructure protection, crisis management & resilience, safe cities, crowd and large events security management.
Muriel Kafantaris, exhibition director, Milipol Qatar 2016 said: "The nature of security measures have evolved rapidly in response to new regional and global concerns and the exhibition will showcase the region's response to these challenges.
"New technologies are expected to be a key subject of discussion at this year's event. Milipol Qatar 2016 is exclusive in that it focuses on the distinctive security issues of the region covering critical infrastructure protection, crisis management and resilience, and safe cities, crowd and large events security management."
The UAE, with its prominent position in the region, has confirmed the participation of 8 companies - Advanced Systems, Al Majdal Trading Company, Avigilon ME DMCC, FME General Trading DMCC, Global Security Network (GSN), Leader Healthcare, Betafence, and Stratign FZE. The exhibitors will showcase a range of products and services related to homeland security including: video surveillance & analytics, access controls, fully integrated turnkey systems, communication security and signal processing systems.
The various departments of the Ministry of Interior of Qatar will also be present with their own stands including the Civil Defence, Police Force, Internal Security Force (Lakhwiya).
The exhibition takes place at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre, West Bay in Doha from 31 October to 2 November 2016.
