HTC, Uber enter regional partnership
Smartphones and transportation come together to bring enhanced value to consumers
HTC has joined forces with online transportation network company, Uber, to bring value to buyers of any 12 HTC devices.
This partnership means, HTC customers will receive their first two Uber rides for free, or up to AED 50 each.
Nikitas Glykas, president of HTC MEA, said: "This partnership is not just between two innovative companies, but also represents an opportunity for our customers to access significant value through HTC. Our commitment is to provide a premium experience to our customers across our product range, and with Uber, this now extends beyond their mobile phone. We are pleased to offer this innovative offer to our valued customers in the region, and happy to connect them to more brilliant experiences and opportunities."
"As consumers demand more from their personal technology applications it is increasingly important for organisations to work together in order to provide more innovative offerings. Our partnership with HTC is a great example of how we can bring two industries together to offer even more convenience to consumers," said Christopher Free, Uber UAE GM.
A range of HTC models are available with this offer in the UAE, including the recently launched HTC 10, the HTC One series, as well as selected models in the HTC Desire series. New HTC customers will need to enter their country and device IMEI number on the htc.com/uber website to receive a unique promotional code from Uber, which they can use to book two free rides.
