Samsung Galaxy S7 gets the Pink Gold touch
Samsung announces fifth colour to Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge range
Samsung has announced that its Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge is now available in Pink Gold.
The devices, which are already available in Black Onyx, White Pearl, Platinum Gold and Silver Titanium, will now be available in Pink Gold in Samsung's home country, South Korea.
Though Samsung has named the colour as Pink Gold, you would be forgiven for wondering how different it is from Apple's rose gold, which is seen in its iPhones and most recently, MacBooks.
In a blogpost, Samsung said: "Pink Gold was chosen as it, like the other colours available for the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge, is a natural colour that provides a sense of comfort. These hues glitter and shimmer as if illuminated from inside their glass surfaces.
"In particular, the refined Pink Gold colour scheme is intended to soothe and incorporate a touch of gentleness, radiance and sophistication to the smartphones' design."
The devices specific features and design are unchanged, for instance they still run on Android Marshmallow, water-resistant and incorporate wireless charging.
Samsung has only said the newly coloured devices will be released in other "select markets" but did not specify what these markets are.
