SAP Middle East and North Africa has been awarded the Top Employers Middle East and Saudi Arabia 2016 Certification by the Top Employers Institute for its employee offerings.

The annual, international research undertaken by the Top Employers Institute recognises leading employers around the world. The research specifically focusses at those that provide excellent employee conditions, nurture and develop talent throughout all levels of the organisation, and which strive to continuously optimise employment practices.

"Creating a diverse and inclusive culture makes us a better company, fuelling our innovation, enhancing our experience of work, and enabling us to succeed in a rapidly changing world," said Nelly Boustany, head of human resources at SAP MENA. "As companies undergo digital transformations, functions and processes, including human resources, are being radically reinvented. And with that reinvention, human resources will assume a new kind of leadership role helping to shape the workforce of tomorrow."

Tayfun Topkoc, managing director at SAP UAE added: "I am very proud of this achievement for SAP in the region. The official certification from Top Employers in 2016 confirms SAP MENA is on the right path, offering the conditions for our people - our greatest asset - to thrive and succeed, along with our customers, in this digital era.

"The UAE is fast-tracking nationwide digital transformation, and we are delivering best practices in developing the next generation of Emirati leaders. SAP employees need the technology, teamwork, and problem-solving skills for our employees to be successful in driving digital transformation among our channel partners, University Alliance Partners, and customers," Topkoc added.

The criteria that the Top Employers Institute assessed was talent strategy, workforce planning, co-boarding, learning and development, performance management, leadership development, career and succession management, compensation and benefits and culture. All answers were independently audited and verified by  SAP Middle East's employee conditions.

Dennis Utter, global business director for the Top Employers Institute added: "Optimal employee conditions ensure that people can develop themselves personally and professionally. Our comprehensive research concluded that SAP Middle East provides an outstanding employment environment, and offers a wide range of creative initiatives, from secondary benefits and working conditions, to performance-management programs that are well thought out, and truly aligned with the culture of their company."

SAP also received the certification in ten countries and two regions: Belgium, France, Italy, Netherlands, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Turkey, UK, and Europe for achieving certification in five countries and the Middle East for its certification in three countries.
