Egypt MoI selects NEC for IP communications The Ministry of Interior will replace existing PBX solutions with NEC IP telephony.

Egypt's Ministry of Interior is set to deploy a new IP communications infrastructure to replace its existing PBX network.

The Ministry has selected solutions from NEC, which will be deployed by JRM for Communications. The NEC partner was selected for the project after working with the ministry for over 15 years.

Among the solutions that will be installed are 12 NEC UNIVERGE SV9500 communication servers and 20 SV9100 communication servers. In addition, 149 Remote UG50's are part of this large network.

The Ministry said that it selected the NEC solutions based on its capabilities and also the support services and commitment shown by JRM.
