TV.AE selects du and Akamai Technologies for OTT services du’s chief commercial officer Fahad Al Hassawi and Ali Al Shaiba, CEO at TV.AE form partnership

du and Akamai Technologies have been chosen by TV.AE as its content delivery network service provider in the Middle East, to deliver over-the-top (OTT) streaming service.

Advance Digital Media is working alongside du and has selected Akamai Technologies' Adaptive Media Delivery solution to provide streaming services and media analytics to deliver broadcast-quality video content, as well as to get a deeper understanding of TV.AE's audience engagement metrics, quality metrics and individual viewer experiences.

du's chief commercial officer Fahad Al Hassawi said: "We are thrilled to welcome TV.AE into our roster of du and Akamai customers.  As a company that prides itself on innovation, providing the latest technologies for this latest TV platform that enables sharing and user participation highlights our commitment towards providing best-in-class services for our customers as well as all TV.AE's customers in the region."

TV.AE aims to provide original as-well-as curated content viewing, with less buffering, less pixilation, and maximum performance, even during peak hours on desktops and Android and iOS mobile devices across the MENA region.

du and Akamai offer cloud based services for delivering media and online content such as HD videos, web applications and corporate websites, via Akamai's globally distributed delivery platform, with a presence in datamena, in Dubai.
