Leaked: Nokia’s rumoured Android smartphone
Android Authority has leaked images of Nokia's long-awaited Android smartphone, dubbed A1
For the first time since 2013, Nokia is preparing to enter the mobile market again with its rumoured Android smartphone, allegedly dubbed A1.
The acquisition of Nokia's devices and services by Microsoft in 2013, had meant the Finnish firm was banned from releasing Nokia branded handsets until 2016. The year is now here and Nokia is making its return to the market.
According to leaked photos from Android Authority, the A1 handset is slightly different to previous Nokia Lumia devices, and it reportedly features a 5.5-inch 180p display and a Snapdragon 652 processor, plus a camera, a rear-facing speaker and a plastic outer design. Android Authority also claims it is running on Nokia Z Launcher, which is most likely built on Android 6 Marshmallow.
Despite the images, no other official comment has been released, but Android Authority's source suggest the device could make an appearance in the summer of 2016.
