I normally wake up at 06:00 and straight away go and water my plants. After that early morning chore is done, I check my emails and plan my calendar before starting to get ready for work.
The drive to work normally takes 15 to 20 minutes and during my commute, I really enjoy listening to loud music. This really helps me to boost my energy and get the day started.
Usually, I get to the office between 09:00 and 09:15 and as soon as I settle on my desk, I login to my system to reply to all my important emails that may have come in and follow up any pending ones.
This is then followed by morning meetings in our office or at clients’ sites and depending on the nature of the meeting, this can take up most of my morning time.
All tasks linked to customer concerns are my top priority. This helps me and the team to maintain business stability and satisfaction to our customers. It also helps us to forge strong alliances with our partner vendors.
I am most happy when I get feedback from customers confirming that they are satisfied with the work we did or engaged together. This is important because it’s a yardstick upon which we can measure if Think Software Services is on the right track or not.
In my role, I really believe in time management prioritising tasks and the most critical aspect is ensuring the completion of tasks and ability to build alliances across different business segments. Learning in this role is an everyday thing and that’s equally important in this position.
I normally prefer to have lunch in the office along with my team but it depends on the day and the schedule. A lunch with the team is also time to catch on what’s trending.
We do have performance indicators in the company for individual targets and business growth and this is important to us as our business relies on customer satisfaction.
I have developed a habit of checking my tasks regularly as this is one way of ensuring that nothing that was on my to do list is overlooked. I also always encourage the team to cement the relationships with customers by delivering what was committed to.
Exercising is really important for me and I make the effort to at least train four days a week. A healthy body sets the stage for your day-to-day well-being. Maintaining fitness through exercise helps to boost your energy for the next day.
I normally unwind after work by having a drink while watching news on TV for about 30 minutes. I also love food and for my dinner, I always look forward to having spicy cusines.
During week days I normally retire to bed around 23:00 hours satisfied that I have finished all the tasks for the day. On weekends I like to enjoy night outs with my friends.
